Buying

Is it really one-time? No subscription hiding anywhere?

Really. €14.99 once, every feature, forever. There is no subscription tier, and our written promise: no converting to one later, no removing paid features, no selling data.

What does the free version include?

The full workbench — import up to two of your own PDF charts, zoom, tap-to-mark, colour highlighting, per-colour counts — plus the sample charts. It exists so you can prove your charts open before you pay a cent.

Do I pay separately for iPhone and iPad?

No. One purchase covers both, and Family Sharing means up to five family members share that one purchase too.

How do refunds work?

Through Apple, like every App Store purchase: request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. And if a chart of yours won’t open, tell us first — we treat unparseable charts as bugs to fix.

Your charts

Will it open my Etsy PDF charts?

Yes — Aida is built for the standard PDF chart format designers and magazines publish: a symbol grid with a thread key. It detects the grid, the symbols and the key automatically, and stitches multi-page charts into one continuous canvas.

What about huge full-coverage charts?

Multi-page, confetti-heavy, full-coverage charts are exactly what the import pipeline is tested on. If one of yours misbehaves, send it over and we make it work.

Can I still look at the original PDF?

Yes — every imported chart keeps its original PDF, one tap away in the workbench, so you can always check the designer’s own pages.

Backstitch, fractionals, French knots?

On the roadmap. Version 1 nails full-stitch tracking, colour highlighting and flawless sync first; specialty-stitch marking follows as a free update — buying once includes updates.

Does Aida ever upload or share my charts?

Never. Charts stay on your devices and in your personal iCloud. We can’t see them, and we built it that way on purpose — for the charts you bought, from the designers you love.

Sync & devices

How does the iPhone–iPad sync actually work?

Through your own iCloud account (CloudKit). Mark stitches on the iPad at home, pick up your iPhone at lunch — your progress is already there. No export buttons, no account to create, no server of ours in between. A quiet icon in the library shows you the sync state at all times.

Does it work offline?

Completely. Stitch in a cabin with no signal; everything is saved on the device instantly and syncs whenever iCloud is reachable again.

Which devices and iOS versions?

iPhone and iPad on iOS 17 or newer — that covers devices going back to 2018, through the latest. One purchase, both devices.
